Many of you may know we have three cats. One is about 10 years old, the other two are about 2 years old. the younger ones are sisters. We took them both so that our kids would both have "their own" cats. Besides, it seemed so cruel to separate the runt from her bigger sister. Turns out the runt, Kisses, is the one always catching the mice to share with Daisy and Tigger, and warding off all the other neighborhood cats. I guess Daisy, the older of the two, would have been up a creek without Kisses! Tigger is a much nicer cat since the younger ones came along to make her soften up. He didn't like them much at first, but I think now really enjoys their company.
Kisses was named after her endearing way of kissing and cuddling everyone who will let her. She has been a cuddly little thing right from the beginning. She is not shy at all and sometimes a little too friendly! Although Zachy gave kisses her name, I think the current status is that Kisses belongs to Lexi and Daisy belongs to Zac. This changes frequently. Lexi is very influential over her brother when she decides she wants something!
Last night, as we were getting ready to go to Ken's store Christmas party, Lexi was playing Poptropica on the computer and Zac was getting bored watching. So he started playing with Daisy. He loves the cats SO much. Sometimes too much! Last night he loved her a little too much! She is sometimes a little feisty when he hugs her real tight, or pets her real hard, or locks her is strange places like under the covers or in the laundry basket etc. Usually she will make this horrible meow sound, or let him know she's serious by kneading him with her claws. There have been a few Small scratches, but nothing real serious. Last night however, I think she was entirely FED UP!
Zac, the day after the cat attack!

I was not in the room, but Lexi made sure I knew immediately. (I think Zac was in too much shock at first to make any noise.) I heard Lexi say "Mom, come quick, Zac is bleeding really bad!" What a horrifying thing to hear. I could tell from her voice that it was no joke. I ran in to the room and at the sight of me, Zachy lost his cool. It was a bloody murder screaming fest for about 20 minutes. Lexi finally calmed him down enough to let me clean it out by telling him that if I do not do it, the doctor will have to and they are much meaner than me. Zac consented to clean it himself, then after he realized it didn't hurt, he let me help. What a mess! and trying to find band aids to cover it was also fun. In the end, we are thankful for our Bactine, pain relieving cleansing spray.
The old fashioned hydrogen peroxide would have never made it past the first swipe or drip!
We made it to the work party only 1 hour late after dropping the kids off at Grandma's. Thanks Mom for taking care of our injured babes!
All bandaged up!
